TIDA Limited (registered company number 16393156, "TIDA", "we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy.

TIDA operates a technology platform that gives high net worth ("HNW") and sophisticated investors access to alternative asset investment opportunities ("Platform" or "Services").

1. Summary

This notice explains what personal information we collect about you, how and why we collect it, what we use it for, and the legal basis on which we do so. It covers what you tell us directly, what we learn from you using the Platform, and the choices available to you regarding marketing. It also explains your privacy rights and how the law protects you, including your right to access, correct or delete the information we hold about you.

Please read this notice carefully as it applies to your use of the Platform and the services we provide. Contact details are set out in Section 9.

2. Prospective clients (before you invest)

2.3 How do we use your information and on what basis?

We only use your personal information where we have a lawful basis to do so, including where processing is necessary:

  • to provide our Platform and services to you;
  • to carry out marketing activities (with your consent, where required);
  • to comply with a legal or regulatory obligation (including under FCA rules);
  • for our legitimate interests (i.e. a business or commercial reason, provided this does not unduly prejudice you); or
  • where you have given your consent.

2.4 Who do we share your information with?

We may share your information within the TIDA group (including any holding company, subsidiaries, and internal teams such as Compliance, Client Services, Technology and Marketing, for the purposes described in this policy).

We may also share your information with:

  • Identity verification and KYC/AML service providers
  • Our compliance and MLRO function
  • Third parties who help us operate, host, improve or market the Platform (e.g. cloud and IT providers)
  • Professional advisers (legal, audit) where necessary
  • Regulators, where required by law

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

3. Existing clients (once you invest via the Platform)

3.1 What personal information do we collect about you?

3.3 How do we use your information and for what purposes?

3.4 Who do we share your information with?

We may share your information within the TIDA group and relevant internal teams (Compliance, Client Services, Technology, Marketing) for the purposes set out in this policy.

We may also share information with:

  • The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and other regulators or authorities
  • HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC)
  • Identity verification, credit reference and fraud prevention agencies
  • Payment service providers
  • Our KYC/compliance and AML service providers
  • IT, hosting and cloud infrastructure providers
  • Auditors and professional advisers
  • Custodians, fund administrators, or investment counterparties involved in facilitating a transaction you enter into via the Platform

Where a service provider needs access to your information to perform services on our behalf, they do so on our instructions and subject to appropriate contractual controls.

We do not sell your personal data to any third party.

3.5 Marketing

We may use your personal information to tell you about products, opportunities or services that may interest you, where we have your consent or a legitimate interest to do so.

You can opt out of marketing communications at any time by emailing support@tida.uk or using the unsubscribe link in our emails.

Regardless of your marketing preferences, you will continue to receive essential communications relating to your account, investments, and any changes to our services.

4. How long do we keep your information?

We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this notice, and to meet our legal, regulatory, tax and accounting requirements (which in a UK financial services context is typically a minimum of five years from the end of the relevant business relationship, and may be longer where required by law).

5. How do we keep your information secure?

While no transmission over the internet can be guaranteed as completely secure, we maintain technical and organisational measures designed to protect your information, including encryption, access controls, and restricted access to personal data on a need-to-know basis.

Where you are provided with, or choose, login credentials to access the Platform, you are responsible for keeping these confidential and must not share them with anyone.

TIDA staff are required to comply with data protection law as a condition of employment, and unauthorised use or disclosure of client information may result in disciplinary action.

6. International data transfers

We will only transfer your personal information outside the UK (and, where relevant, the European Economic Area) where appropriate safeguards are in place, such as the UK's International Data Transfer Addendum, EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or a UK adequacy regulation covering the destination country.

For example, where we use analytics or cloud service providers based outside the UK/EEA, your information (such as IP address and usage data) may be transferred to those providers, subject to appropriate contractual safeguards.

7. Your rights

Under UK data protection law, you have the following rights in relation to your personal information. You can exercise these by contacting us using the details in Section 9. In some cases we may not be able to fully comply (for example, where we must retain information for legal or regulatory reasons), in which case we will explain why.

  • Right of access — a copy of the personal information we hold about you and details of how we use it (normally provided within one month).
  • Right to rectification — correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Right to erasure — deletion of your information in certain circumstances.
  • Right to restrict processing — limiting how we use your information in certain circumstances.
  • Right to data portability — receiving certain information in a portable, machine-readable format.
  • Right to object — objecting to processing, including for marketing purposes, at any time.

8. Consent

Where we rely on your consent to process your information, you may withdraw it at any time by contacting us. This will not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before you withdrew consent.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page and, where appropriate, notified to you directly.
